We all love a bit of star-spotting and it’s even more fun when you can do it in gorgeous surroundings. In this round-up of places to spot your favourite celebs, we are headed to the star of the Emerald Isle, Dublin.

In its winding lanes and cobblestone streets, you can easily bump into some of your favourite celebs, whether they are strolling through Phoneix Park, following in the footsteps of Yeats in the city centre, or simply heading into cool bars in North Dublin.

An excellent excuse to see the pubs of Dublin

Dublin is famous for many things, but its hundreds of pubs are often the most well-known! At last count, there were over 700 pubs in Dublin, and it’s no stretch to say that you will find a warm welcome at most of them.

Post Malone was recently spotted enjoying himself in Temple Bar. This iconic street is packed to the gills with pubs and clubs, making it incredibly easy for you to rub shoulders with your favourite celeb. Day or night, you will be able to find a spot to drink and dance here.

Ronan Keating has never shied away from his love of Rugby, if he is not watching it live, you can bet your Euro that he will be in a local sports bar to cheer on the national team. Learn to tell your scrum-half from your flanker, and you’ll have plenty to talk about at the bar.

Explore expansive green spaces

A short hop, skip, and jump away from the centre of Dublin lies Phoneix Park. It’s one of the largest urban parks in Europe and is a firm favourite of Beyonce and Jay-Z. While we can’t imagine Jay-Z and Queen B on a tandem, you can rent one here to explore the miles of trails within the park. If history is more your thing, then don’t miss the prehistoric burial chamber of Magazine Fort, which all lies within the grounds.

When Lyndsay Lohan produced the Netflix film, Irish, Wish, she fell in love with Dalkey Island. It lies just off the coast of Dublin and is inhabited only by rabbits, goats and perhaps some leprechauns. Find your moment of Zen in this peaceful place before you head back to the mainland (main-island?) to continue your search for celebrities.

Mingle with sport stars
The Irish love their sports, did you know they even have their own sports association for Irish Sports? The GAA or Gaelic Athletic Association, promotes traditional sports like hurling, Gaelic football, camogie, and Gaelic handball. There are even professional leagues for the sports, with players that rival the popularity of NFL superstars.

See these athletes in the flesh at their games, which regularly sell out the 82,000 seat Croke Park Stadium. If you want to get up close and personal with any of the players, then just spend some time strolling through the streets of Dublin, as many of the payers have regular jobs in addition to their sporting prowess.

Fun fact- Chris O’Dowd played Goalie for the Roscommon minors team in the 1996.

Take some time for yourself – Live it up like a celeb

If you are looking to treat yourself to a celeb-like experience in Dublin, here are our top three suggestions for you:
